Abstract

Abstract:The present study focuses on identifying the styles of social skills and behavior problems in children from 3 to 5 years old, who are inserted in the non-formal education system (Child Development Centers); and how different contexts influence their behavior and social competences. We analyzed the theoretical foundations that optimize teaching strategies and parents for the improvement of behavior and the appropriate development of social skills. The social skills were described, these aspects allowed to differentiate the predominant behaviors in children from 3 to 5 years old and the socioeconomic level of the families of the investigated population. The sample was 18 people (four teachers, fourteen parents and mothers). We worked with the methods, descriptive, synthetic analytic, inductive-deductive, statistical and hermeneutical and the techniques of the summary, reading, interview, survey, bibliographic research. Within the results, the influence of the socioeconomic level and the instruction of the parents in the development of social and behavioral skills of the children could be compared.
