Análisis de pobreza, desigualdad y mercado laboral en la parroquia urbana Carigán del cantón Loja.

Abstract

Abstract:The calculation of poverty has been and is a determining aspect in the adoption of economic policies aimed at improving people's lives. The generation of jobs allows individuals to have an income which gives them access to the goods and services necessary to achieve material well-being; however, it is necessary that the wage distribution be equitable, in order to achieve sustainable economic development. The intellectual dynamism aims to consider income, as the main variable at the time of its definition, in the present investigation the conditions of poverty, inequality and labor market of the inhabitants of the urban parish Carigán of Canton Loja are analyzed, concluding that the majority of households do not have conditions of poverty and extreme poverty, and that, although there are situations of inequality, there is no severely inequitable distribution of income. In relation to the labor market, it is evident that the employment rate is higher than the unemployment rate and that these are higher and lower, respectively, than the rates at the national level.
