Abstract

Abstract:The neighborhood is part of the urban context and is where collective relationships are created, acquire their own characteristics according to their location and have different scenarios and realities creating their own identity; Under this concept, the Las Palmeras neighborhood located on the outskirts of the city of Loja in the southeast part is analyzed, where the development of community life is affected by precariousness and lack of public space. Faced with this problem, the present work aims to propose integral urban solutions, with the purpose of reducing the conditions of vulnerability in which it is found, generating a connection from the inside out through the intervention of public space; improving living conditions and image quality at the neighborhood level. For this purpose, participatory methodologies are used that will allow to know the perceptions, needs and desires of the inhabitants around these spaces, being they the main protagonists in the design, the same ones that will respond to their needs and strengthen the social fabric.
