Análisis de la pobreza, desigualdad y mercado laboral en la parroquia rural de Quinara del cantón Loja

Abstract

Abstract:The purpose of this work is to analyze the conditions of Poverty, Inequality and Labor Market of the inhabitase of the Quinara parish of the Loja canton, whose purpose is to provide information for decision making. Through the application of the ENEMDU survey of the Institute of Statistics and Census (INEC), with certain modifications, it was possible to calculate the main indicators, related to Poverty, Inequality, and Labor Market. The first chapter reviewed the theory of the main authors, as well as the empirical evidence. The second chapter describes the parish in demographic, economic terms, while the third chapter analyzed the results of the indicators proposed, compared with the indicators at the cantonal and national level. Subsequently, the characterization of the parish was carried out based on the calculated indicators. Finally, he concludes that the main activity is agriculture, and derivatives of this activity that generate income for households. As recommendations suggests the analysis of causes and effects of the displacement of the rural population, as well as the development of the rural economy.
