| Abstract: | Sacha Inchi (Plukenetia volubilis) is a species belonging to the family Euphorbiaceae, in this study was performed the extraction of the vegetable oil of this species and the determination of its physical properties. An extraction plant was also designed and the financial analysis for the exploitation of the oil of this species was carried out. The vegetable oil was obtained by cold pressing at a temperature ranging from 20 C to 30 C. The physical properties were determined by established standards for vegetable oils. The yield in vegetable oil of the species sacha inchi was 39,09 %, its density was 0,929 g/mL, and its refractive index was 1,477. The extraction plant comprises 10 zones, is rectangular with measures of 26.6 m x 13.90 m, giving a total area 369.74 m2, with an investment cost of $ 201.319,24. The cost of production per Kg is $ 6,45. |
| Description: | Sacha Inchi (Plukenetia volubilis) es una especie perteneciente a la familia Euphorbiaceae, en el presente estudio se realizó la extracción del aceite vegetal de esta especie y la determinación de las propiedades físicas del mismo, también se diseñó una planta de extracción y se llevó a cabo el análisis financiero para el aprovechamiento del aceite de dicha especie. El aceite vegetal se obtuvo mediante presando frío a una temperatura que oscila entre 20°C a 30°C. Las propiedades físicas se determinaron mediante normas establecidas para los aceites vegetales. El rendimiento en aceite vegetal de la especie sacha inchi fue de 39,09 %, su densidad fue de 0,929 g/mL, y su índice de refracción fue de 1,477. La planta de extracción comprende 10 zonas, es de forma rectangular con medidas de 26.6 m x 13.90 m, dando un área total 369.74 m2, con un costo de inversión de $ 201.319,24. El costo de producción por Kg es de $ 6,45. |
