Calidad de vida en pacientes con enfermedades crónicas no transmisibles en el Centro de Salud Daniel Álvarez

Abstract: The quality of life related to health, as a positive indicator that evaluates the health-disease process, has been gaining in use, since the change in morbidity patterns. In order to characterize the quality of life related to health from the nomothetic and ideographic perspectives and its relationship with variables of people and time, a cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted in 132 diabetic and hypertensive patients attended at the Daniel Álvarez center, of Loja. We calculated means and standard deviations, percentages, and significance tests such as ANOVA, comparison of means in independent samples and analysis of contingency tables, through the likelihood ratio, with a level of significance of 5%. It is concluded that the quality of life related to global health, from a nomothetic perspective, showed an acceptable level, not associated with any variable studied. The psychological and environmental domains obtained the worst score; while the physical and social relations exhibit higher levels than the global one.
