Aplicación de la teoría de juegos en la resolución del conflicto entre el uso consuntivo del agua y su uso turístico de los habitantes de las comunas Pichikra y Acacana en la provincia de Loja, Ecuador

Abstract

Abstract: The Andean communities in Ecuador are characterized by being organized, participatory and socially managed entities from which they manage the resources in their territories. The conflict over the use of water between the communes of Pichikra and Acacana belonging to the parish of San Lucas in the canton of Loja is the reason for this investigation. The main objective was to apply the Theory of Games in the communes of Pichikra and Acacana de San Lucas, as an instrument to generate proposals between the consumptive use of water and its use as a tourist attraction. The information was collected through semi-structured interviews related to the Virgin Pukru watershed directed at community leaders and managers. The results indicate that the two communities agree on the protection of this watershed, but there are very marked differences in the use and development of water. The proposal to structure an implementation plan for the cooperative games strategies for the communes in conflict was socialized. Consensus among communities will allow control and maintenance of water resources, while keeping traditions alive.
