Abstract

Abstract: The present research has as theme: analysis and enhancement of the intangible cultural heritage of the canton of Macará, for tourism purposes, year 2019. It begins with the situational diagnosis of Macará, located in the province of Loja, in order to know the tangible and intangible resources existing in the canton. After that, the information is collected to make the inventory of intangible cultural heritage through surveys and Focus Group techniques with the inhabitants and finally, this data helps to determine the appropriate strategy to rescue and safeguard the customs and traditions that are part of the PCI. Based on the research results, a program of child and youth tourism culture is proposed, which generates enriching educational actions that contribute to the formation and growth of children and young people, helping to the development of cultural tourism in the sector. Finally, the conclusions and recommendations that synthesize this research work are presented.
