Crédito hipotecario y su aporte en la economía del Ecuador: caso Banco del Instituto Ecuatoriano de Seguridad Social (BIESS), período 2012-2018.

Abstract

Abstract:Credit is a mechanism that contributes effectively to the development of the economy and in this context, BIESS is the bank that, since its creation, has concentrated more than sixty percent of the mortgage portfolio in the country. The objective of this research work is to analyze the influence of the mortgage loans placed by the BIESS in the national economy from its creation to 2018, for which a quantitative and qualitative investigation was carried out in order to obtain numerical data and proceed to carry out their respective analysis and interpretation. With the information obtained, I proceeded to demonstrate that BIESS boosted the construction sector, increasing employment and making this sector the second largest income generating economic activity in Ecuador.
