Rehabilitación de la vivienda de la Familia Palacio Riofrio ubicada en la ciudad de Loja-Ecuador

Abstract

Abstract: A very common problem in the Historic Centers of the world is the deterioration and loss of heritage buildings as a result of the lack of intervention or maintenance of these works. This can be seen reflected in homes in our city, so taking intervention actions that adapt to the demands of daily life becomes a viable option that allows maintainingthese spaces as a testimony of culture.The main objective of this thesis is to develop the rehabilitation of the home of the Palacio Riofrio Family, located on 18 de Noviembre and 10 de Agosto streets. The proposal includes the recovery of the building, through an architectural project that is based on maintaining part of the original use and seeking a new use for the existing spaces, while maintaining their historical value. Therefore, different methodologies are taken into account that allow achieving acomprehensive intervention, in addition a study of the house is carried out from the historical context, as well as the construction systems that can be applied and retaken in the rehabilitation of the property.
