Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the main continuing education needs of the teachers of the General Unified Baccalaureate at the Fiscal Educational Institution of the canton Saraguro, Loja province, school year 2020-2021. A population sample of 10 participants was taken and based on the general objective, analyze the main continuing education needs of teachers who currently work in the BGU in educational institutions in the country, and teach classes in subjects related to experimental Sciences. The mixed research approach is used (quantitative-qualitative), the methods, the analytical, hermeneutical, inductive and deductive were used, the applied techniques are bibliographic and field, the data collection instrument used is the questionnaire. Through the investigation, results are found such as: the acquisition of a third level degree in accordance with the subjects they teach, lack of attraction for the courses offered by the MINEDUC and they do not elaborate plans to improve their own teaching practice, in response to these needs It is recommended that the authorities propose courses that train and motivate pedagogues.
