Diseño urbano arquitectónico del terminal terrestre tipo 2 para el cantón Macará

Abstract

Abstract:This research focuses on an urban-architectural design of a land terminal of type 2 for the city of Macará, which is adapted to the needs and requirements of the users. According to the last census of 2010, Macará has a population of 19 018 inhabitants, the population projection study estimates a growth of 19 635.41 inhabitants for the year 2020. Currently there is a strong traffic congestion on the main roads of the city, especially those that go through the central part of the city, since it is here where the provisional offices of the cooperatives that provide the mobility and transport services are located, to this must be added the informal transportation that further aggravates the situation. The methodologies that support the development of the degree work will be the analytical and the systemic project, which contribute to due process. For the design of this huge construction and its equipment, a study of local, national and international regulations is carried out to support its correct implementation, as well as the appropriate spaces, proposing a solution to the existing issues.
