Abstract:The theme projected for this degree work arises through the problems that currently exist with the lack of interest on the part of citizens to care for and conserve heritage properties, taking as a case study the Espíndola canton, Amaluza city, since These buildings that are part of the history and culture of the canton are being allowed to deteriorate, many houses have already been demolished, others restored without any restriction, without leaving any element that distinguishes these from the current ones. It is intended to develop an architectural rehabilitation project, with sustainability proposals that reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions, the rehabilitation of a building is a unique opportunity to achieve higher levels of environmental performance, compared to demolition and construction activities of new buildings, in this way to obtain an enhancement of the traditional houses of Espíndola and thus raise awareness in a society that it is the main participant in their conservation.
