Análisis narratológico y social de la novela Mientras llega la lluvia de Edison Paucar

Abstract

Abstract:This essay, entitled Narratological and social analysis of the novel Mientras llega la lluvia by Edison Paucar, aims to examine the work based on its characters, time, space, style, plot, structure, narrators, social perspective, vision and literary influences of the author and the link with biblical stories so distinctive of this work. The narrative outlined in the novel has a sensitive, close and at the same time violent nuance, through which complex problems are addressed starting from two real events, which reflect the conflicts that afflict Ecuadorian society: the merger of two religious educational entities in Quito in the same installation and the protest provoked by the emphasis on the difference in social classes, the class management of power and the immoral behaviors of two teachers, two students and some families. The novel corresponds to the contemporary literary trend, which gives it a realistic character, distinguishing itself by breaking with the conventional and linear way of narrating classic novels, its authenticity and the ability to captivate the reader.
