| Zusammenfassung: | Abstract:The essay studies the contemporary novel El Día de la Gratitud by author Cecilia Velasco to break down its parts and clarify its panorama. The first part of the essay analyzed the work from irony and other general characteristics. The second part deepened the novel to compare socio-educational environment with the upcoming educational reality. Jerónimo Onofre reveals himself as a kind and severe teacher with altruistic attitudes, but realism defeats him. This antihero and protagonist are outlined from the various literary voices to tell a reflective story. It also presents the errors that educational institutions of the 21st century must avoid in their educational mission. The adult characters pretend to reform the youngsters but doing anything for them. Young students ignorantly seek to be heard by planning a rebellion in the form of mischief and that turns aggressive. For this reason, the objective of the essay work is to understand the novel El Día de la Gratitud as a reflection of the socio-educational environment of the XXI century to publicize its importance as part of Ecuadorian and Latin American literature. |
| Beschreibung: | Resumen:El ensayo estudia la novela contemporánea El Día de la Gratitud de la autora Cecilia Velasco para desglosar sus partes y aclarar su panorama. La primera parte del ensayo analizó la obra desde su ironía y demás características generales. La segunda parte profundizó la novela para compararar su entorno socioeducativo con la realidad educativa próxima. Jerónimo Onofre se revela como un profesor bondadoso y severo con actitudes altru istas, pero la realidad lo derrota. Este antihéroe y protagonista se perfila desde las diversas voces literarias para relatar una historia reflexiva. También se presenta los errores que las instituciones educativas del siglo XXI deben evitar en su misión educadora. Los personajes adultos pretenden reformar a los jóvenes sin realmente hacer algo por ellos. Los jóvenes estudiantes ignorantemente buscan ser escuchados al planificar una rebelión en forma de travesura que reslta ser demasiado agresiva. Por eso, el objetivo del trabajo ensayístico es entender la novela El Día de la Gratitud como un reflejo del entorno socioeducativo del siglo XXI para dar a conocer su importancia como parte de la literatura ecuatoriana y latinoamericana. |
