| Abstract: | Abstract: This research about Ecuadorian public high school teachers ́ perceptions on technological resources used by teachers in their EFL classrooms during the COVID-19 pandemic was conducted with the purpose to analyze different technological resources used by teachersin their EFL classrooms. This investigation was carried out in Ecuador in the cities of Guayaquil, Duran, Ibarra and Puerto Quito. The participants were ten teachers of public high school; they had from 1 to more than 15 years of experience. This study used a mixed method that combined qualitative and quantitative approaches; the main instruments were the survey and interview. The aspects that were considered for the analysis of the results were the highest percentages of the three tables in which the majority of teachers agreed. The findings showed that the most used technological resources are YouTube and virtualplatforms. Teachers have a positive attitude and good competences toward ICT and with the use of technological resources, as these tools providemany advantages and allow teachers to plan and create more realistic and entertaining activitiesin the EFL classroomduring the COVID-19 pandemic. |
| Description: | Resumen: Esta investigación sobre las percepciones de los maestrosde las escuelas públicas secundarias ecuatorianas sobre los recursos tecnológicos utilizados por los docentes en sus aulas de ILE durante la pandemia de COVID-19,se realizó con el propósito deanalizar los diferentes recursos tecnológicos utilizados por los docentes en sus aulas de ILE. Esta investigación se llevó a cabo en Ecuador en las ciudades de Guayaquil, Durán, Ibarra y Puerto Quito. Los participantes fueron diez profesores de escuelaspúblicas secundarias, tenían de 1 a más de 15 años de experiencia. Este estudio utilizó elmétodo mixto que combinó enfoques cualitativos y cuantitativos; los principales instrumentos fueron la encuesta y laentrevista. Los aspectos que se consideraron para el análisisfueron los porcentajes más altos de las tres tablas. Los hallazgos mostraron quelos recursos tecnológicos más utilizados son YouTube y las plataformas virtuales. Además los docentes tienen unaactitud positiva, buenas competencias hacia las TIC y con el uso de recursos tecnológicos, ya que estas herramientas brindan muchas ventajasen el aula de ILEespecialmente durante la pandemia de COVID-19. |
