Abstract

Abstract: This research seeks to characterize the bituminous material from collection sites in zone 7, by verifying the physical-mechanical properties emitted by the national refinery PETROECUADOR, which is in charge of distribution and commercialization at the national level, are similar to the results obtained through laboratory tests, to contrast them with the minimum requirements of the national regulations for the use of bituminous material in pavements or in seals of joints and fissures.In the same way, an evaluation of the storage area of the city of Loja is sought, starting from the security that the plant must provide to the staff, conservation of the environment and culminating in the characteristics that the plant must have to guarantee conservation. of the physical-mechanical properties of the material. In a complementary way, a guide is provided based on international standards with greater experience in this field since the quality of the asphalt will depend mainly on the conditions of storage, transport and handling of the material, achieving an evaluation of all these processes to guarantee the conservation of said properties that meet the minimum requirements of national regulations.
