Abstract: The present work with Theme: Pertinence of the Medicolegal Examination of Drug Addiction in Loja, refers to a new reality that day by day is becoming a bigger social problem, the use of drugs.The consumption of narcotics within the Ecuadorian population represents a fairly common practice, which has become rooted in everyday life. This critical situation favors the clandestine marketing of these substances, with micro-trafficking being the most common crime and the one that represents the most difficulties within the legal field, due to its frequency within the judicial system and the complexity it possesses at the time of assessing tests.This is why it is important to point out the lack of reliability of the toxicology and drug addiction test, because within the legal actions, in many cases it is carried out outside the time determined as correct.As well as I have set myself as a specific objective that it be possible to demonstrate the need for a readjustment to the table of narcotic substances, updated for the last time in 2014 by CONSEP.
