Abstract:The present investigative work with the theme Principles of constructivism in the Institutional Pedagogical Proposal applied in the "Gabriela Mistral" Basic Education school, located in the urban area of the San Pedro de Pelileo canton, province of Tungurahua, analyzing the pedagogical contribution that the social constructivism to education, the methodology used is based on the descriptive, analytical and synthetic method; the techniques lie in the bibliographic and documentary research to obtain the information of the theoretical framework and as an instrument we have the proposal and the matrix, all this process allowed us to reach the conclusion that the individual construction of knowledge is based on experience, active participation and the ability to face problems of daily life that lead to guaranteeing meaningful learning by creating a fair and equitable society, always with the guidance of the teacher, and thesupport the National and Institutional Curriculum.
