Políticas Económicas y su influencia en el crecimiento económico y social del Ecuador (1927-2023)

Abstract

Abstract: This document compiles the main historical facts that involve the economic policies of Ecuador. The main objective is to explain how fiscal and monetary policies influenced economic growth and Ecuadorian society from 1927 to 2023. It has been taken since 1927, due to the creation of the Central Bank of Ecuador and is when data such as the GDP. Its structure begins with the theoretical framework, which presents all previous research. The methodology is based on historical, synthetic and analytical methods. In most of the research there is a qualitative and slightly quantitative analysis. The most important part is the results that are divided into 3 periods: Period1. Central Bank and missions, 2. Oil and banana boom and currency deterioration, 3. Dollarization and current affairs. In each period, specific conclusions are presented and culminate with general conclusions.
