| Abstract: | Abstract: The research aims to analyze the prevalence of mental health issues, psychological capital, and job satisfaction among educators in Loja, with a particular focus on stress, anxiety, and depression. Therefore, it employs quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional, and descriptive methods by using statistical methods for the analysis of data obtained from surveys. The chosen sample consisted of 51 teachers (18 men and 33 women) from different educational institutions, with ages ranging from 26 to 62 years. In order to participate in this study, educators must meet certain criteria including having a minimum of one year of teaching experience and being actively employed. The findings indicated that most teachers revealed normal levels in the three dimensions of mental health. Furthermore, they showed that they have high levels in all variables. These results are crucial to identify the psychosocial risks faced by teachers and promote strategies to boost their general well-being and improve their quality of life and employment performance. |
| Description: | Resumen: La presente investigación tiene como objetivo analizar la prevalencia de la salud mental, el capital psicológico y la satisfacción laboral en docentes lojanos, enfocándose específicamente en las variables de estrés, ansiedad y depresión. Para ello, se emplea un diseño cuantitativo, no experimental, transversal y descriptivo, utilizando métodos estadísticos para el análisis de los datos obtenidos a partir de encuestas. La muestra seleccionada estuvo compuesta por 51 docentes (18 hombres y 33 mujeres) de diferentes instituciones educativas, con edades comprendidas entre 26 y 62 años. Los criterios de inclusión establecieron que los participantes debían tener al menos un año de experiencia laboral y estar en empleo activo. Los hallazgos permitieron identificar que la mayoría de los docentes presenta niveles normales en las tres dimensiones de salud mental, así mismo manifiesta tener niveles altos en los demás instrumentos aplicados. Estos resultados son fundamentales para identificar los riesgos psicosociales que enfrentan los docentes y promover estrategias que promuevan su bienestar general, mejorando la calidad de vida y su desempeño laboral. |
