Prevalencia de Salud mental, capital psicológico y satisfacción laboral en trabajadores ecuatorianos

Abstract

Abstract: The research aims to analyze the prevalence of mental health issues, psychological capital, and job satisfaction among educators in Loja, with a particular focus on stress, anxiety, and depression. Therefore, it employs quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional, and descriptive methods by using statistical methods for the analysis of data obtained from surveys. The chosen sample consisted of 51 teachers (18 men and 33 women) from different educational institutions, with ages ranging from 26 to 62 years. In order to participate in this study, educators must meet certain criteria including having a minimum of one year of teaching experience and being actively employed. The findings indicated that most teachers revealed normal levels in the three dimensions of mental health. Furthermore, they showed that they have high levels in all variables. These results are crucial to identify the psychosocial risks faced by teachers and promote strategies to boost their general well-being and improve their quality of life and employment performance.
