Abstract

Abstract: Through this work, we present a narrative and iconographic analysis of the X-Men universe, focusing on the comic book series Uncanny X-Men: Days of Future Past. The main objective is to explore and analyze the narrative structure of the X-Men saga. This research follows a descriptive analysis, characteristic of a qualitative methodology, where we categorize the compositional elements present in these comics from the storyline and script to the graphic components and other features. The results of this study reveal a complex story, both in terms of narrative structure where the influence of science fiction clearly stands out and in the historical and social context of the United States at the time. On the other hand, the graphic composition is shaped by the Bronze Age, maintaining a visual rhythm that connects with the reader. Ultimately, Days of Future Past is an iconic Marvel Comics work that stands as a metaphor for social behaviors through the language of comics, a premise that defines the X-Men universe since its origins.
