Abstract: The present research work is based on the academic preferences of the students of the Private Technical University of Loja in the Law degree and its connection with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) through the study of sentences, based directly on the objective No. 16 pertaining to rights at risk, access to quality justice, legal security, effective judicial protection, rights of participation, communication and information, right to good administration based on the study developed of the sentence or resolution No. 152 - 2015 issued by the National Court of Justice of Ecuador, which aims to promote peaceful and inclusive societies, facilitate access to justice for the entire population and create effective, responsible and inclusive institutions at all levels. In this case it is about the crime of murder, which is typified in Art. 140 of the Comprehensive Organic Penal Code (COIP), which tells us that the person who kills another will be punished with a custodial sentence of twenty-two. at twenty-six years.
