Abstract

Abstract: This research work is developed with the purpose of analyzing the factors that determine access to financing in microenterprises in the canton of Quevedo, Los Ríos province, period 2025. For this purpose, a mixed approach methodology with descriptive design is used and a structured survey of 27 questions is applied to 303 microentrepreneurs, which made possible the collection of relevant information on: general data; quantitative and qualitative characteristics; and the experience of microentrepreneurs within the financial system. Based on the theoretical foundation, empirical evidence and analysis of data from the survey, it was possible to observe the economic reality and the behavior of microentrepreneurs when faced with the need for financing. The results show the existence of limiting evaluative criteria on the part of the financial entities, which allows us to establish that the main determining factors restricting access to financing for microenterprises in the canton of Quevedo are the low rating in the credit bureau, the lack of collateral, and the high level of current indebtednes.
