Systematization of Pedagogical Experiences in the EFL Teaching Training Program

Abstract

Abstract: The topic of the present systematization work is Systematization of pedagogical experiences in the EFL teaching training program . The objective was to make a reflection about the pre-professional practices with the purpose of extracting new learning and forms to teach English. The practicums were carried out in a fiscomisional institution from Ibarra-Ecuador, where the academic offer is basic education and bachillerato. The information was extracted from a sample of 30 classes observed and 30 classes taught as the main teacher. The method employed was a qualitative approach through the systematization, and the observation technique that was applied in the classes. In conclusion, it was observed that the classes contained negative aspects that made them confusing, such as the lack of mentioning the topic and the objectives, as well as the use of repetitive methods to teach the classes. Also, there were positive aspects that enriched the learning process of students, such as the dominance of the topics of the class by teachers, their quality, and the use of the English language.
