Abstract

Abstract: In this research work that was developed based on Ruling No. 2583-19-EP/23, of the Constitutional Court of Ecuador, it is related to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16: Peace, Justice and Solid Institutions. The present ruling No. 2583-19-EP/23 addresses the aforementioned decision where it was proven that it did not violate the right to due process in the guarantee of motivation, however, it violated the guarantee provided for in article 77, number 9 of the CRE. Given the habeas corpus action requested before the resolution of the Specialized Criminal, Military Criminal, Police Criminal and Traffic Chamber of the National Court of Justice, by Mr. Marcelo Agustín Delgado Vilela. By addressing important issues such as the importance of due process and strengthening judicial institutions, where the rule of law and equal access to justice for all citizens is promoted. Furthermore, by reaffirming respect for legal norms within the Ecuadorian judicial system, the ruling strengthens national and local institutions, which is essential to achieve SDG 16 of Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.
