Abstract

Abstract: The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) play an important role in Law becase they can be linked to violations in various cases and legal branches. There are a total of 17 SDGs, each of which is highly significant. For this research work, I have chosen Goal 16, titled Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, as its connection to the violated right in the court ruling is closely related to the issue at hand. In this case, the individual whose rights were violated had their motion for review dismissed in a criminal proceeding. Consequently, the Constitutional Court acknowledged the violation and nullified the decision of the institution that dismissed the motion for review and the judge sent as reparation for the victim that Criminal Chamber be aware of the process and take into consideration what was resolved by the Constitucional Court. Using the information presented in this investigation work, we can determinate the importance of the SDGs and their connection through the analysis of the court ruling will be examined. Additionally, the research methodology will be included to highlight the results obtained, followed by a discussion, and concluding with recommendations and conclusions.
