Abstract

Abstract: The Curricular Integration Project, titled "Academic Preferences of Law Students and Their Link to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through the Study of Rulings," enables Law students at the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja to articulate theoretical and practical knowledge through the study of court rulings. This process aims to overcome ideological barriers among students and solve problems, promoting a connection with globally relevant social objectives. In this context, the subject of Family Law is selected, with the research focusing on Ruling No. 239-17-EP/22, which highlights the importance of ensuring equitable access to justice for all, regardless of their status. The ruling is then analyzed, identifying its connection to one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In this regard, Ruling No. 239-17-EP/22 is linked to SDG 16, which promotes peaceful and inclusive societies, emphasizing the need to strengthen judicial institutions. Additionally, it contributes to Ecuador's democratic institutional framework by protecting the rights of citizens and vulnerable groups through transparent and accountable procedures. The development of this research will help recognize and assess the fulfillment of the SDG in question within Ecuador.
