Abstract

Abstract: Artificial intelligence has brought about a drastic change in education, making it necessary to understand how it works and how it can be effectively utilized. The objective of this research was to explore the perceptions of ninth-grade students and teachers at Unidad Educativa Fiscomisional Mater Dei regarding ChatGPT as an educational support tool. The study was based on a mixed-methods approach, in which the necessary information was collected through student surveys and teacher interviews. Subsequently, using the Design Thinking methodology, a proposal was developed consisting of the creation of a digital brochure aimed at suggesting ethical and pedagogical guidelines for the appropriate use of the tool. For this purpose, a survey was conducted with ninth-grade students and their tutors to gather the information required to design the resource. Based on the information collected, it was concluded that the perception of ChatGPT as a tool is positive, as it has been useful in strengthening the learning processes of ninth-grade students at the institution, mainly due to its availability and adaptability to each student s educational needs.
