Desarrollo de una Plataforma Web para la Gestión de Incidentes Comunitarios en el Barrio Hermanos Cristianos

Abstract

Abstract: This degree project focused on the development of a web platform designed to transform reporting management in the "Hermanos Cristianos" neighborhood in Quito. After identifying that the use of informal channels limited response capacity, a technological solution based on client-server architecture and the MVC pattern was implemented, following the waterfall methodology and ITIL v4 standards. The construction of the system was materialized through PHP, HTML, CSS, and MySQL, using XAMPP as the environment that provided stability for the software execution. Confidence in this tool was consolidated through testing with PHPUnit and Playwright, which evidenced total success in its critical functions and an outstanding performance of 89.25% in quality audits. Beyond simple automation, the project manages to professionalize the neighborhood organization and return the leading role to citizens through the management of real data. In conclusion, this proposal strengthens community management through reliable software that guarantees timely solutions to community incidents.
