Abstract

Abstract: The research highlights the relevance of Judgment 748-20-EP/24 as a fundamental precedent in strengthening due process and proper judicial reasoning within the Ecuadorian constitutional justice system. The Constitutional Court, in identifying violations of essential rights, emphasizes that every decision must be based on clear, coherent, and legally valid arguments. This pronouncement reaffirms the importance of institutional transparency and strict adherence to the legal framework, constituting an effective mechanism to prevent arbitrary decisions that affect legal certainty and public trust in the judicial system. Furthermore, the judgment transcends the individual case and serves as a wake-up call to the institutions responsible for administering justice. The Court's exhortation urges judicial officers to critically review their actions and strengthen internal control systems, thus ensuring more responsible, ethical, and rights-oriented practices. This approach promotes a structural change that seeks to consolidate a more humane, sensitive, and democratically committed justice system. The research also highlights that Ecuador, through this type of decision, reaffirms its commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG 16, which promotes peace, justice, and the strengthening of strong institutions. Finally, it is emphasized that the study, in analyzing factors that influence UTPL Law graduates and their relationship with areas of legal specialization, relied on systematic and exegetical methods to organize and interpret the information, providing indicators that allow for the evaluation of progress related to justice and sustainable development.
