Abstract

Abstract: The present research study, entitled Critical Reading as a Pedagogical Strategy to Strengthen Oral Expression Skills at Dr. Napoleón Mera Educational Unit, aims to contribute to the educational field by offering a theoretical and practical proposal that enhances the development of communicative skills in high school students. The study highlights the relevance of critical reading as a pedagogical strategy to foster discourse organization, oral argumentation, and reflective thinking in school contexts. Likewise, it contributes to the analysis of the teacher s role in implementing active strategies that promote conscious and meaningful oral communication. As its main contribution, the study proposes a didactic alternative that integrates critical reading with communicative practices, providing classroom-applicable guidelines to improve the quality of oral expression and address the formative needs of students at the high school level.
