Medición de carga operativa y percepción de carga laboral del personal técnico de laboratorio en la Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja

Abstract

Abstract: This research study analyzed the relationship between the subjective perception of difficulty and the actual execution time of the different activities carried out by laboratory technicians at the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja. A quantitative, non-experimental, and cross-sectional design was implemented. The sample consisted of 15 technicians, and 96 activity responsible combinations were analyzed, consolidated from more than 1,115 observations. Execution time was estimated using the PERT technique, and difficulty was classified into three ordinal levels: low, medium, and high. Descriptive statistics, Spearman s correlation, the Kruskal Wallis test, and a multiple linear regression model with logarithmic transformation were applied in the analysis. The results showed no statistically significant association between execution time (p > 0.05) and perceived difficulty. No significant differences were found between these two variables; however, process type and execution frequency demonstrated significant effects on time. It is concluded that perceived difficulty does not predict the actual operational time of technical tasks within the analyzed academic context.
