Uso del Chat Bot Profe de Matemáticas y su influencia en el rendimiento académico en la resolución de productos notables en estudiantes de noveno de básica de la Unidad Educativa Fiscomisional La Dolorosa

Abstract

Abstract: This research process aims to analyze the influence of the educational chatbot Profe de Matemáticas and how this artificial intelligence tool enhances learning capacity, specifically in the academic performance of ninth-grade basic education students in the resolution of notable algebraic products. The study was conducted at the Fiscomisional Educational Institution La Dolorosa , located in the canton and city of Loja. This study focuses on identifying and evaluating the effects of new technologies such as chatbots on students' cognitive and emotional development. Students use these tools to support learning, facilitate access to new information, and contribute to the teaching and learning of mathematics.The study followed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. For data collection, a pretest and posttest were applied to two ninth-grade groups selected through intentional sampling. Objective tests and structured surveys were used as data collection techniques in order to identify significant improvements in the academic performance of the experimental group, in comparison with the control group. The results showed an increase in the mean scores obtained between the pretest and posttest stages, as well as higher levels of motivation and a break from traditional routines, which fostered greater interest in learning mathematics. It is concluded that the use of the chatbot Profe de Matemáticas constitutes an innovative didactic and pedagogical strategy that supports students learning processes. Furthermore, the integration of such technological innovations contributes to strengthening students mathematical competencies.
