dc.descriptionResumen:Este estudio examinó las percepciones de estudiantes y docentes hacia la instrucción virtual de inglés como lengua extranjera (ILE). En la investigación, realizada en un colegio público de Ibarra, Ecuador, participaron veinticinco estudiantes de tercer año, su profesor de ILE y sus padres. Para analizar las percepciones de estudiantes y docente hacia la enseñanza virtual de ILE, se recopilaron datos sobre el entorno de aprendizaje, la retroalimentación, la interacción, los recursos y las tareas mediante cuestionarios digitales con preguntas de escala Likert, como parte de un método descriptivo cualitativo. Los resultados mostraron que, si bien los recursos digitales fueron valorados, la educación virtual planteó desafíos significativos en cuanto a la participación, la retroalimentación y el manejo del estrés, lo cual limitó las oportunidades para la práctica comunicativa.es_ES
dc.description.abstractAbstract:This study looked at Students and teacher s perceptions towards EFL virtual instruction. Twenty-five third-year students, their EFL teacher, and their parents participated in the study, which was conducted at a public high school in Ibarra, Ecuador. To analyze students and teacher s perceptions towards EFL virtual instruction. Data on the learning environment, feedback, interaction, resources, and tasks were gathered via digital questionnaires with Likert-scale questions as part of a qualitative descriptive method. The results showed that while digital resources were respected, virtual education posed significant challenges in terms of engagement, feedback, and stress management, which limited opportunities for communicative practice.es_ES
