Abstract

Abstract: Tourism web portals are digital platforms designed to promote and disseminate the resources of a specific destination, providing potential visitors with relevant information about its characteristics, services, and attractions. These platforms are continuously updated, allowing them to offer content that is relevant and aligned with users needs. The incorporation of technological tools such as conversational assistants and interactive maps represents a significant contribution to digital tourism, as it facilitates interaction between the user and the destination. These technologies enable the provision of real-time information, enhance user experience, and promote greater integration of tourists with the environment, transforming their participation from passive to a more dynamic and interactive experience. The present study entitled Implementation of a Tourism Web Portal with a Conversational Assistant and Interactive Map for the Ballenita Neighborhood Federation aims to develop an integrated platform that provides personalized tourism recommendations, enables real-time inquiries through a conversational assistant, and facilitates navigation through an interactive map that identifies points of interest. For the development of this project, tools such as Visual Studio Code and the Bootstrap framework were used due to their features that support the creation of modern and responsive web interfaces. Likewise, programming technologies such as PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX were employed for system implementation. Additionally, specific technologies were integrated for the development of the conversational assistant, based on natural language processing, as well as geolocation APIs for the implementation of the interactive map, ensuring compatibility and proper functioning of all system components.
