Propuesta didáctica basada en Leyendas ecuatorianas contadas con IA para potenciar la lectoescritura en estudiantes de bachillerato

Abstract

Abstract: This research work addresses the need to enhance reading and writing skills in General Unified High School students through the integration of cultural heritage and technology. The general objective was to design and implement a didactic proposal based on Ecuadorian legends narrated with the support of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The methodology used corresponded to applied research with a didactic intervention design and a comparative descriptive analysis (pretest and posttest), integrating a mixed-methods approach. The sample consisted of 50 second-year high school students from the "10 de Agosto" Educational Unit and two teachers from the language department. As data collection instruments, structured surveys (Likert scale) were administered to the students, and semi-structured interviews were conducted with the teachers. The main result highlights a significant increase in reading motivation and perceived self-efficacy for creative writing; in conclusion that, in the posttest, 96% of the students acknowledged the usefulness of AI for generating ideas, and 86% reported improvements in structuring narrative texts.
