Usabilidad de los entornos virtuales de aprendizaje como parámetro para asegurar la calidad de servicio

Abstract

Nowadays, at the growing number of activities done on the web, the usability has turned into an interest-raising topic. At this fact, the aim of this project is to focus on themes related to the web usability, as well as, the methods and techniques in order to evaluate from the customers‟ perspective. The study is geared to educative web sites, for such a purpose, a compendium of the most outstanding characteristics of applications that have been adopted like technical structures to develop teaching-learning activities in important institutions. Further on, a practical study case of usability in the Virtual Learning Contour of the UTPL, through the application of questionnaires to a significant sample of students and teachers of this education institution. In the light of the research outcomes, an improvement proposal has been framed in order to get a higher rate of usability in the above-mentioned contour. The project ends up with the implementation on the Moodle technical structure, due to the fact that the UTPL works with this already-known structure.
