El drama del feminicidio en la novela policiaca Las muchachas de la lluvia, de la escritora ecuatoriana Edna Iturralde

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the issue of femicide (killing of women) in the detective novel Girls of the Rain" Edna Iturralde, through narratological analysis, in order to sensitize the Ecuadorian society about this social problem. The research approach used is qualitative. Levels of research employees were exploratory and descriptive; techniques of data collection: bibliographical and documentary, comparative, hermeneutics and literary criticism. The results of this study indicate that indeed the femicide is the central theme of the play, in which the author combines reality and fiction by applying the techniques of suspense and intrigue that kept in great expectation the young reader. This novel tries to alert the public about the dangers to which women are exposed in today's world. It teaches us to be cautious with any risk that threatens the physical or moral integrity of every person, especially adolescents and young people who mostly are the real victims
