Abstract:The research project: Analysis of the uses of technology in students from the Technical University of the North, to achieve the objectives it development under the KDD process using mining techniques data such as cluster analysis and discriminant for obtaining homogeneous groups of students with different characteristics in the use of internet, and last binomial logistic regression multinomial and applied to obtain models for hypothesis testing, these techniques were applied to data that particularize features digital divide; specifically the impact of the variable level of family income of students on the uses of Internet in academic activities and entertainment, the results obtained are analyzed the level of relationship between the variable Internet use and academic performance was determined of student.
