Abstract

Abstract:The environmental impact in the Bonilla Abarca neighborhood was calculated, through the determination of the tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) that are produced by the various activities carry out by the people of the neighborhood. It was determined the ecologically sustainable territory, with an estimate standard of 6,27 tons(tn) of carbon dioxide(CO2)per each hectare(ha) annually. In order to come by data a survey of thirteen questions was applied to two hundred people from this neighborhood; it was divided into sections like: Daily diet, outputs, dwelling, and mobility. The outcomes state that the total environmental impact was 207,85 hectares (ha) per year and by taking into account every person was 1.04 hectare (ha) every year; when it is compared this datum to the global biocapacity, that is 1.7 global hectares(ha). IT was observed that the environmental effect of the neighborhood is below the global limit. The parameters which contribute mostly to the environmental impact have to do with common outputs (clothing, household appliances as well as electronic devices) which presented 103,81 hectares (ha) per year, furthermore the daily-diet one showed 64,35 hectare(ha), moreover, the dwelling 24,19 hectares (ha) and mobility 15,51 hectares (ha)yearly, so these parameters were low.
