| Abstract: | Abstract:The migration of Ecuadorians to Spain has gained strength in the nineties and has been maintained with less proportion in the following years. This social problem has been the subject of several studies and debates both in the social and literary fields, and the latter has portrayed this topic in a truthful way, since it expresses the feelings of the protagonists of this fact. Therefore, the objective of this essay on the migrant subject is to contextualize and analyze the general framework that encompasses the subject within this social phenomenon, to know the impact, causes, consequences and the metamorphosis that this event causes at an individual and collective level, as portrayed in Carlos Carrión's novel La ciudad que te perdió (The city that lost you), who describes the migrant as a being in constant orphanhood. Finally, through the reading of the work and bibliography referring to this event, it has been possible to consider the magnitude and aftermath left by the migratory phenomenon responsible for the destruction of families and countless social problems. |
| Description: | Resumen: El fenómeno migratorio de ecuatorianos hacia España ha sido objeto de estudio en diversos campos, incluyendo la literatura, donde se ha retratado de manera auténtica y emotiva las experiencias de los migrantes. En este ensayo, se pretende contextualizar y analizar el sujeto migrante dentro de este fenómeno social, examinando las causas, consecuencias y el impacto a nivel individual y colectivo, tal como se ha reflejado en la novela de Carlos Carrión, La ciudad que te perdió. En esta obra, el autor describe el sujeto migrante como alguien en constante orfandad, lo que refleja las secuelas emocionales y familiares que este fenómeno puede dejar en las personas. A través de la lectura de la obra y la bibliografía relacionada, se puede comprender la magnitud de los problemas sociales generados por la migración, incluyendo el fraccionamiento familiar y otras consecuencias negativas. En resumen, la literatura se convierte en una herramienta fundamental para reflexionar sobre el fenómeno migratorio y su impacto, y para promover la empatía y el respeto hacia los migrantes en la sociedad. |
