Abstract: In the present tesis, an energy audit was carried out under the guidelines of the UNE 16247-2 standard, for this an organization located in the city of Cuenca that provides the Restaurant service was audited, in the audit 3 types of consumption were identified energy: for the consumption of electrical energy, for the consumption of thermal energy for the combustion of LPG and for the consumption of thermal energy for the combustion of charcoal; For this, energy consumption was estimated by surveying all connected equipment, then a Pareto analysis was carried out to identify the 20% of services that demand 80% of the energy to find opportunities for improvement, it was identified that the majority of energy consumption are demanded in refrigeration, lighting, heating and food preparation, after an economic analysis, the economic viability was identified in 2 of the proposed improvement projects and they are: the incorporation of a cold room to eliminate the majority of refrigerators connect and change obsolete lighting technology for Led technology.
