| Abstract: | Abstract: This study explores using TikTok videos to enhance EFL grammar learning among adolescent students. For this reason, this research investigates the impact of TikTok on EFL grammar learning, using a mixed-method approach. The participants were divided into and experimental and control group, with the former receiving grammar instruction through TikTok videos. While realizing the practice of this study a pre and post-test scores were administered and quantitatively analyzed while qualitative perceptions are gathered through surveys. This research contributes to technology-enhanced language education by informing best practices for integrating TikTok into EFL grammar instruction, creating a more effective and engaging learning environment for learners. The results showed that EFL students achieved a significant improvement in grammar usage, and created awareness about using TikTok to improve their grammar abilities. The use of TikTok as an English grammar teaching tool helps to incorporating authentic examples and content to promote active participation and facilitate the development of grammar skills in a motivational and engaging manner. |
| Description: | Resumen: Este estudio explora el uso de videos TikTok para mejorar el aprendizaje de gramática EFL entre estudiantes adolescentes. Por esta razón, esta investigación explora el impacto de TikTok en el aprendizaje de la gramática EFL, utilizando un enfoque de método mixto. Los participantes se dividieron en un grupo experimental y de control, el primero recibió instrucción gramatical a través de videos de TikTok. Al realizar la práctica de este estudio, se administraron puntajes de pre y post-test y se analizaron cuantitativamente, mientras que las percepciones cualitativas se recopilaron a través de encuestas. Esta investigación contribuye a la educación de idiomas mejorada por la tecnología al informar las mejores prácticas para integrar TikTok en la instrucción de gramática EFL. Los resultados mostraron que los estudiantes de EFL lograron una mejora significativa en el uso de la gramática, además crearon conciencia sobre el uso de TikTok para mejorar sus habilidades gramaticales. TikTok como una herramienta de enseñanza ayuda a incorporar ejemplos y contenido auténticos para promover la participación activa y facilitar el desarrollo de habilidades gramaticales de una manera motivadora y atractiva. |
