Abstract

Abstract: This research studied the importance of digital skills and their relationship with teaching innovation in rural educational units in the provinces of Pichincha and El Gold, the data collection technique that was used was the interview with the teachers who allowed us to know the performance of teachers with digital skills in the present. The widespread use of the Internet leads to paying attention to the methods of access; It also involves management and transmission of information, the way of producing and transfer knowledge, the perception of learning and communication, and with it, the growing interest in the ecologies of social learning, in the role of the teacher and the taking advantage of digital technologies, since their digital competence constitutes a approach to this topic, by allowing the approach to the adoption of technologies digital in their educational work. Finally, basic education teachers must create learning environments with innovation for the development of digital competence through of the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) and educational resources open, as essential inputs to transform teaching processes learning.
