Abstract

Abstract: In the current degree work, the definition and concepts are presented in relation to the general and specific content of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda to have correct knowledge, explanation and good application for those who want very valuable information in the line of law. In this sense, the development of the work is based on the analysis of the selected Sentence No. 682-14-EP/20, which deals with a case of extraordinary protection action issued by the Constitutional Court of Ecuador and which is linked to the SDG. 16: peace and justice. The methodology used in the research is the analytical and legal hermeneutic method that allows exploring the main concepts developed by the different concepts of SDG 16 and the laws in relation to the objective. It is concluded at the end that SDG 16 is important for all governments, companies, educational institutions and citizens to become agents of sustainable change through knowledge, skills, values and attitudes that help them promote the sustainable development that is aspires to achieve.
