Prevalencia de la salud mental, capital psicológico y satisfacción laboral en docentes de educación secundaria de Pedernales

Abstract

Abstract: This research work aims to determine the prevalence of mental health, the Psychological capital and job satisfaction in Ecuadorian teachers from the city of Pedernales during the year 2023, considering personal characteristics (gender, age and marital status) through a non-experimental, cross-sectional and descriptive study, in which participated a sample of 40 secondary education teachers, to whom the questionnaire was applied Ad Hoc sociodemographic and occupational, the depression, anxiety and stress scale (DASS-21), the psychological capital questionnaire (PCQ.24) and the job satisfaction scale. In the Results found that teachers have good mental health with mild levels of anxiety, depression and stress, they also perceive positive psychological capital and They were satisfied with both the intrinsic and extrinsic aspects derived from their job. In conclusion, it could be determined that the evaluated teachers have the psychological resources necessary to function within their profession, complying with their expectations and work standards, and this in turn is reflected in their mental health, capital psychological and job satisfaction.
