| dc.description | Resumen: La presente investigación indaga sobre "El uso de material auténtico vía WhatsApp en la enseñanza de habilidades auditivas en inglés como lengua extranjera (EFL) en contextos no presenciales", con el objetivo de establecer el impacto del material auténtico compartido vía WhatsApp dirigido a mejorar las habilidades auditivas en contextos no presenciales. Este estudio contó con la participación de veintidós estudiantes de 2º de bachillerato de un colegio público de Santo Domingo. La metodología utilizada fue mixta, combinando enfoques cualitativos y cuantitativos. Los instrumentos fueron un cuestionario sobre las percepciones de los alumnos, un cuestionario sobre las ventajas e inconvenientes de utilizar material auténtico en WhatsApp, un cuestionario para el profesor y una hoja de observación. Antes de aplicar estos instrumentos, se creó un grupo de WhatsApp para compartir seis vídeos auténticos junto con sus correspondientes cuestionarios. Los resultados muestran que los alumnos perciben que el uso de material auténtico a través de WhatsApp mejora significativamente su capacidad de comprensión oral. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | Abstract:This research investigates "The use of authentic material via WhatsApp in the teaching listening skills in English as a foreign language (EFL) in non-English in person", with the aim of establishing the impact of authentic material shared via WhatsApp aimed at improving listening skills in non-face-to-face contexts. This The study involved the participation of twenty-two 2nd year high school students from a public school of Santo Domingo. The methodology used was mixed, combining qualitative and quantitative approaches. The instruments were a questionnaire about the student perceptions, a questionnaire about the advantages and disadvantages of using authentic material on WhatsApp, a questionnaire for the teacher and an observation sheet. Before applying these instruments, a WhatsApp group was created to share six authentic videos along with their corresponding questionnaires. The results show that students perceive that the use of authentic material through WhatsApp improves significantly their oral comprehension ability. | es_ES |
