La literatura juvenil como estrategia para desarrollar la comprensión lectora en estudiantes de bachillerato Unidad Educativa Soler-Samborondón 2023

Abstract

Abstract: The main objective of the work was to investigate youth literature as a strategy to develop the reading comprehension in high school students of the Unidad Educativa Soler de Samborondón, to achieve these theoretical foundations were identified, the influence of variables was analyzed, and a didactic proposal composed of three workshops for high school students of the institution.The motivation arose from the problem of some students that present an insufficient level of reading comprehension that negatively affects their academic performance. Regarding the methodology, a design with a mixed approach was considered with an exploratory, descriptive, and explanatory type of research where the inductive-deductive scientific method was used. For the develop of this research, the type of non-probabilistic convenience sampling was selected considering 80 participants, divided into 66 students and 14 teachers who, using the Google Forms tool, were administered two separate surveys that included closed questions on a Likert scale. Through the data collected and analyzed, the research concludes that youth literature can be used as an optimal tool that encourages reading and improves comprehension in students.
